Saturday's unseasonable temperatures were not enough to slow down Libby Gendron and Becca Zylak, who ran outstanding races for Goffstown High School. Libby placed 9th overall and Becca 16th in the large school race. Their times were 20:44 and 21:04 respectively. (See picture below, in same order as pictured.) The team has great hopes for future success with several strong freshman this year. The freshman girls placed 4th missing a team plaque by a single point scoring 107 to Bedford's 106. Not many teams are deep enough to place 5 strong girls in the freshman race. So 4th place out of the more than 60 girls schools who competed in this race is great to see. Coach Pyszka from Mountain View Middle school says that there are many more strong runners coming up to the high school in the next couple years to continue to build this program.
