Big Win for Goffstown

Coming off of the Christmas tournament, the grizzlies resumed regular season play Friday against the raiders of Lebanon.  Lebanon, projected to be one of the powers in Division II this year, is lead by Sophomore point guard KJ Matte. However Goffstown preformed to their competition this Friday.

A 24 point performance out of Marcus Haynes as well as 18 from Rob Girardin gave the grizzlies the edge Friday night.  Goffstown was able to hit shot after shot and maintain a lead throughout the whole game.  After a buzzer beating shot that was eventually called off by Tim Comeau the grizzles had a 18 point halftime lead.  They continued to sink shots in the second stanza and with help from big men Casey Gervais, Ryan Roggenbuck and Comeau the grizzlies were able to keep the lead and knock off one of the Division II powers, giving Goffstown a 1-1 record.  Their next game is against Manchester West, who moved down from Division I this year.  Goffstown is looking for another statement win on Monday in Manchester.
