Baseball Advances to the Quarter-Finals

The #1 seed Goffstown Grizzlies advanced to the quarter-final round with a 11-0 victory over Pembroke Thursday afternoon.  Tyler Perron earned the victory on the mound keeping the Spartan hitters off balance with a mixture of off-speed and gas.  Tim Riehl hit a triple with the bases loaded to drive in three runs in the second inning and helped Goffstown jump to an 8-0 lead after two innings. Ryan Pinard hit his first home run to finish the scoring in the bottom of the fourth.  
The Grizzlies next game is Saturday at 4pm against the  #8 seed Lebanon.  The game will be played at St. Anselm's field.  Goffstown and Lebanon squared off twice in the regular season with Goffstown winning both contests 7-3 & 5-3.
